This is a fine product that has worked for me so far with one glaring exception. The instructionsare helpful for installation (as are videos by the company), but no one, NO ONE tells you that the parracord will shrink significantly the first time it gets wet. So, even if you leave what appears to be a generous amount of slack in the installed trolley line, after your first trip, the line will be so tight it will be hard to pull through the guide and pulleys. Hey, Yak Attack, this is gonna get wet! Tell me to pre shrink the cord before I install it. I had to buy a whole new length of parracord to reinstall. AFTER pre shrinking…….

I’ve been outfitting my oldest kayak for fishing and needed to find a convenient way to ship an anchor. After a number of YouTube videos concerning making your own, I happened upon the install video for the Yakattack anchor trolley. It was easy to install, especially with the video, and best of all, it works perfectly. I have since added a Lixada Kayak Cam Cleat for quick cleat and release of the anchor line. Best bolt on additions so far.

Well maybe I am just not supposed to install the anchor trolley. My pole was stolen off the front porch and got ready today to install the trolley and the package came with no screws in the hard ware. URG. I donβt want to give a bad review for the product. I am installing 2 of these on two different kayaks. However would have been nice to have been able to install today.Called YakAttack and spoke to Tony. He sending out the screws this week. Also received my replacement pole. Going to be a good week.

Upgraded my diy anchor trolley to this one. The Yak attack trolley is so much better and smoother. It is easy to move the anchor line, and the lever lock is solid.I did watch a YouTube video on installing it, as I could not figure out how to mount the rear pulley.I also recommend the HD version due to the backing support bars that are included.

Anchor makes it hard to pull front to back. But nice having it on kyack.

It allows me to reposition my kayak while anchored with a simple slide of the rope and is quite while doing it which is a big thing for me. Will work on any kayak. I put it on my old town sportsman big water 132

I used the rigging bullets. It was easy to install with just two holes, three arenβt needed like the instructions say to do. Just snug up one bullet with a nut to hold in place, remove the other bullet, screw in the screw and repeat for the other hole. See pictures. One thing I donβt like is that the pulleys donβt spin at all on my boat after tightening them to the boat. They don’t spin great even when I leave them a bit loose but what’s the point of using the backing plates if you can’t screw the pulley assembly to the boat snug enough that it doesn’t wiggle. Other (cheaper) trolleys that Iβve installed had a frame around the pulley to prevent that from happening. The pulleys on these press up against the boat and freeze, at least on mine. I’m hoping that it still works ok since the rope slides over the low friction pulley material. I really like the clamp and padeyes. Overall, a bit disappointed but hoping it will still work ok, we’ll see.
