I use them to hold a half inch thick, 8 inch diameter steel target. They resist small caliper hits very well (.22LR, 9mm, 38. Super). Larger rifle calibers such as 7.62×51 NATO FMJ cause slight distortion. I have not hit them with armor piecing bullets. I use nylon zip ties to secure the pins.
