I ordered a 100 foot roll of 8 AWG. Usually Ancor wire is top notch, but this roll (which is re-spooled from a larger roll) got damaged about 18 – 20 feet in. Luckily I had already used almost all the beginning of the roll up to the damaged area and only lost about 18 inches. I unrolled the rest to inspect; all was fine. Since I only lost a little, it wasn’t worth making a damage claim.

I have used a lot of wire over 35+ years, and this is some if the best I have seen/used. Very high quality wire and sheathing, robust and durable. Wiring isnβt a good place to try to pinch pennies, get good wire and connectors and rest easier that you wonβt be fighting an electrical fire (or worse) in the future.

Yes, it is what it says. Tinned, strandled copper wire! On spool, which is sturdy enough to use.

Going back several years now, I have been purchasing “Ancor Marine grade wire” on Amazon in various gauges from 2 awg to 10 awg. I recently received my latest order of 50 feet , 2 awg , black. BIG and HEAVY wire! After a couple days, I decided to verify the length. I unspooled it and it was exact. Same as every other order; Right on the money, and of top quality and reliability. It is WORTH the price. And the way it always should be!
