This swivel fairlead cleat is nearly identical to the Ronstan RF58. Either could serve the same purpose. I bought this to use on a Marshall 18 Sanderling catboat for the centerboard control line, which is ⅜” diameter, replacing a bronze traditional cleat. While I have installed it (with #10 1″ stainless flathead screws into the teak trunk, I have not yet tested it under sail. However, ‘m reasonably certain that if the screws hold in the teak, this will be easier and faster for adjusting than my old bronze traditional cleat.
