I wanted oars that wouldn’t decompose over time after leaving them out in the weather. This fit the bill. Time will tell whether the sun will cause the plastic paddles to rot. this is why I give it a 4 star. As of now, I recommend this product. I wish they would sell them in sets of two at a discount but maybe I’m to picky.

i knew nothing about oars when i ordered these (still don’t know a lot) these work surprisingly easy and seem plenty sturdy. all i knew about rowing was from rowing machines in the gym. actual rowing is easier as far as effort is concerned but staying straight in the creek is surprisingly difficult. that’s no fault of the oars, solely that of the operator

Most oars come in a set. These are sold as 1!

Is 83″ end to end. Paddle 5 1/2″ width and only 16″ long before tapering off. Shaft measures 1-3/8″. Boxes poorly taped and open however oars appear undamaged.

Heavier than my wood oars of exact same size. After weighing them, confirmed 2.5 pounds more for the pair. Also they are sold separately which isnβt a big deal. After first use they have water inside them with no way to empty, making them even heavier. On the plus side, they seem to be made with heavy aluminum and durable plastic that should last a long time.

These oars (you have to order two) stand up to hard pulling.I used heat shrink tubing as sleeves and to make sure the buttons stay in place–shaft outer diameter is 1.25″

One piece. very nice.

I used these (ya gotta buy two, remember that) on a 12 foot flat bottom boat and they are perfect. They remain sturdy without flex under heavy rowing. I donβt think I could bend them unless I purposefully smashed them into a tree. I have no worries about bending them by rowing. Be sure not to tighten the oar mounts too tightly on the oar. Doing that would compromise the integrity of the oar.
