I compared this cooler to many of the other similar coolers on the market.Just took it on a 7 day rafting trip.Even without significant pre-trip cooling this cooler kept ice for 7 days.I started with 4 – 10 lb blocks and had temps into the mid 90’s.Solid cooler, love the skids instead of rubber feet.In the end the thing that sold me was the price and the latches. The latches are very easy to latch and unlatch unlike many of the other brands. Will they stay shut in a 50 mph fall from the back of a truck? I have not idea.Do they work really well in a boat when you don’t want to fight one of the other rubber latches like YETI? Yes.Make sure to order directly from Canyon, you get the same price and better service.Cons:Well all these coolers are heavy, don’t want a heavy cooler? Buy a cheap igloo marine at 1/2 the weight.Pros:Well built, lifetime warranty, Lots of usable space I love the square sides, very deep, latches are easy to use. This is a real review, I did not receive anything from the vendor, I paid full price just like you.

I am extremely pleased with this cooler purchase. I have done at least a couple of dozen hours of research over the past year before buying this cooler. I wanted something as good as a Yeti, but I didn’t want to pay the Yeti cost for the size I wanted.I purchased this cooler primarily to cool transport wild game and fish, especially for longer trips. In addition to requiring it to hold ice for up to a week, I wanted a tough and durable cooler than could withstand the rugged environments I will used it in. My wife wanted a better cooler for our camping trips, so I convinced her that we needed to spend the money to make it the last cooler we’d ever buy.I have not yet been able to use this on a trip, but I did do an extended ice test. I pre-cooled the cooler with 6 gallon jugs of ice, then put 6 gallon jugs of ice in the cooler for the test. After 7 days over half the ice still remained. In addition to the ice retention, I am a huge fan of the drain hole. It’s easy to open, and unlike some coolers, retains the plug so you can’t lose it. The clasps that hold the lid closed are also very sturdy and really easy to operate. If you’re considering buying a nice roto-molded cooler it’s worth checking out Canyon Coolers

I donβt know how many days this would hold ice in the cooler however when I started out on my hunting trip over a week ago I filled it with nine blocks of ice and 20 pounds of cubed ice. Four days later when I went to put meat in it I had to remove four full blocks and most of the cube ice. Five days later when I got home I dumped out the remainder of the ice which was still solid blocks. The weather was anywhere from high 60s to low 80s for highs. My igloo cooler ran out of ice in three days.

Love this cooler but itβs bigger than I expected. Knowing the dimensions did not prepare me for the first time opening it up. Big turned out to be good as it still fit nicely in my truck and works as a seat for two. You will be able to really pack things in but be aware of the weight if you need to load it into a pickup. The handles are well thought out and enable single/dual person use with ease. I loaded it with 60lbs of cubed ice along with food/drinks on 12/29/21, today is 1/10/22 and there is 25lbs of ice left. I also pre-chilled it with ice packs. Iβm happy with that result and recommend this cooler to others. I will probably get a smaller Canyon for frequently gotten things like drinks and leave the 125β for the things I want to remain cold.

Absolutely love this cooler. Our friends have a smaller version for years and itβs held up great, this either perfect for our trip and hold ice better and longer than our other coolers, think yeti, artic, o ark trail, and not even a competition to Igloo or Coleman (they are not worth anything) . It also fits in a standard truck bed with a Tonneu cover closed, which is exactly what we needed. My only complaint, or wish, is that it had wheels for a large as it is.

Best coolers for rafting. I have a 55 quart as well and they hold up well.

Canyon has the best lifetime warranty in the business. Cooler is great. Holds ice for a seriously long time. Even in the summer heat.
