My wife and I have a houseboat that only has a short, straight up and down ladder to the water from the rear deck. We’re both in our 70s and it’s become more difficult climbing up from the water. I ordered this to make it easier because it has a more stair-like angle and goes deeper into the water. It mounted easily onto the aluminum deck and can be quickly deployed and removed, although the rails do fill with water. (I plan on drilling a couple of holes at the bottom of the rails to let the water escape.) I only deploy it when we are getting into the water and never when leaving the boat or underway. I store it out of the water on the rear deck lashed tightly to the handrail. My wife loves it! And so do I.

My husband put this together in no time at all. He took off the end caps, the ones under water at the end of the ladder, because it filled with water and was too heavy for me to lift the ladder back off. This made it better. It is very sturdy and simple to get on and off. He was even able to drill holes and mount onto the front of the pontoon while on the water. We got the five step ladder and I am so glad, as a pontoon is high out of the water. We older, heavier ones were able to get up and down it very easy… I really love the style of this ladder.

We use it on our pontoon boat when we visit different lakes. Itβs nice that the 5th step makes it so getting in and out of the water is a breeze. The only regret is that it doesnβt fold up. We can still keep it on the back of the boat with ease. We even use it with our doggie swim ladder (paws aboard ladder).

Super easy assembly, box was narrow and long that it came in, super light, the 5 steps goes well beyond my water line so re boarding will be a breeze, instructions are included, detailed ish, I made it thru, parts were all there could definitely use another set of braces, I used mine on top with the footman loops, really probably needs two more below for added support, no biggie just what I see or feel could be added, Iβm gonna have another set made a bit larger to help distribute weight underneath deck, great product thou A++ would recommend to anyone

The product was easy to assemble and was the perfect replacement for the previous stairs we lost. It was exactly as described.

The unit was delivered in good shape. I was able to assemble it with a couple wrenches in about 20 minutes. Easily carried it to the dock and quickly installed it. Perfect for getting in and out of the water on the bay. Also just rotate up and releases from the hooks for quick removal incase of stormy weather.

We bought this for our dock at the lake and love it! I didn’t want to pay $800 for a Pirate Plank ladder. This ladder is a great price, is removable and lightweight. It is better than the rest because the steps are wide and at an angle. There are also handles to hold onto. It makes getting out of the lake so much easier for older adults, little kids and heavier adults. So much better than the straight up and down styles!!

When we are out on the water everyone always used to say βwe need one more rungβ .Now I have it and love it!
